Manhole Project:
In 23 November 2011 we have been awarded contract to construct and erect 247 Manhole for Airfield Grand Lighting (AGL) for Khartoum Airport. Our team succeeds to implement the aforesaid manholes along with cable path (8000 m) including pipes and other necessary civil works before the contracted date in April 2012.

This project consider to be one of the main safety project at Khartoum Airport as well as its importance for airport certification, thus Khartoum Airport directorate was very much satisfied with completion of the project which was complied to the required standards in just 4 hours a day as per NOTAM announced.

This project consider to be 1st of its kind, therefore we have made in association with CAA an official ceremony after completion. See photos.

X-ray Machines, Explosive and Metal Detectors (Smiths Detection):


1. Supply & commissioning 3 X-ray machines in 2002 for GNPOC (Oil Consortium Company) at Higleig airport and Marine terminal. Local training has been conducted at site for operators.


2. Supply & commissioning 4 X-ray machines in 2003 for GNPOC at Higleig airport and headquarters in Khartoum. Local training has been conducted at site for operators.


3. Supply and commissioning 2 X-ray machines & 1 Metal detector in 2004 for PDOC (Oil Consortium Company) at Palouge airport. Local & out side training has been conducted by Smiths Detection in Germany.

 
4. Supply of 2 X-ray machines in 2004 to be integrated with the Baggage Handling System (BHS) at the extension of the departure terminal at Khartoum airport. This project was considered to be the first project to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) by Smiths Detection since 1992.This contract was awarded to Smiths Detection by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) as a result of tendering process generated by the procurement department at ICAO. Technical training, operator training and factory test acceptance has been done by CAA for (14) trainees at Smiths Detection premises in 2005.The commissioning and integration with BHS has been successfully done in 2005 at site.

 
5. Supply of 104 (X-ray machines, Hand Held Metal detectors, Walkthrough Metal Detectors & Explosive detectors) for CAA to be equipped at different airports in Sudan .These systems commissioned successfully at Khartoum Airport in July 2005 to replace some other brands. This contract is considered to be the biggest contract awarded in single purchase order to Security Company in Sudan. Training for 9 operators and engineers has been conducted at Smiths Detection training centers.

 
6. Supply and commissioning 1 X-ray machine & Metal detectors at Presidential Premises (2005).


7. Training of 75 operators at Khartoum airport in August 2005 for the operation of the items supplied as mentioned in item (5).


8. Supply and commissioning of 5 X-ray machines at Khartoum international airport for arrival terminal. Commissioned in July 2006.


9. Supply of 4 X-ray machines to customs police to be deployed in Khartoum airport at arrival terminal Commissioned Feb. 2007. Local training program as basic operator training has been conducted to 40 officers of customs police in March 2007.

 

10• August 2010: Supply and commissioning of 3 X-ray machines, 5 Archway Metal Detectors and 10 Hand Held Metal Detectors to Customs Police installed in Khartoum Airport at Arrival Terminal.

11• February 2011: A contract has been signed with the Customs Authority to supply a number of 2 Cargo Scanners expected to be installed on march 2011.

 

Training Programs (STI):


1. Training of 92 security officers in X-ray machines was done in Sudan by our principle STI. This training program was conducted from 27th of October 2007 to 11th of December 2007, those officers were trained in Basic Operator Course, Train the Trainer Course (8 Trainers) and Supervisors Course (18 Supervisors).

 
2. STI also has constructed a networked computer laboratory and installed a simulator program (AVSEC) in addition to an X-ray machine from Smiths Detection to enable the local training of Security Officers; this project was implemented in March 2008.

3. November 2009: A recurrent training course of 94 operators of CAA (AVSEC) has been conducted at CAA training center by STI. This is the first course using Simulator (OTS) of STI which was installed in March 2008 at CAA institute.

 

 

 

CCTV Networks (PIEPER):


1. 1999 – 2005: Departure, domestic, VIP terminals, the west fence and apron at Khartoum Airport. Civil Aviation Headquarters (Khartoum).
2. 2005: Port Sudan Airport.
3. 2006: Extension of Departure Terminal (Khartoum Airport).
4. 2008: Pieper won the biggest tender ever issued by CAA for CCTV system. The project scope was the installation of  39 cameras in the Haj & Umrah Terminal, Domestic Terminal and Cargo Area in Khartoum Airport in addition to training of Engineers and Operators at Pieper Premises in Germany. This project had been successfully commissioned in April 2008.
 

Voice Recording & Tracing (ASC):

 
In 1999 & 2000 we supplied by our principal ASC a digital voice recording system and commissioned at Khartoum airport for the purpose of telephone conversation, VHF recording, as well as tracing the incoming and out going telephone calls.

 

Aipu Waton Electronics:

 February 2010: Supply and installation of CCTV composed of 22 cameras for the Aerodrome Engineering Buildings at Khartoum Airport, February 2010.

 

 
Fidgeon Ltd:

 A new contract was signed with the customs Authority to Supply a number of 50 Personal Dosimeter to be delivered April 2011.
